Elephantastic - Ladybug

Can not believe its the weekend again, so looking forward to some time spent in the greenhouse, I can't believe how wonderful it is to have a place i can go which is peaceful and quiet, and doesn't matter whether its raining! just as well, as im told tomorrow is going to rain again.

I am so enjoying the lazy mornings, what a difference no school run makes, to my mood and the length of the day. Not clock watching all the time, seems to lengthen the day, do any of you find the same?

Had a lovely day yesterday, despite having no electric till eleven thirty! The electric went off Thursday evening. I have never known it to be off for so long, and boy was i lost without my PC ! You kind of forget how much you rely on those electric currents! The plus side was i didn't have the PC to distract me from my actual crafting, and I did get some more DT work finished - I can't believe how organized im getting. Not before time either, bearing in mind it was my new years resolution, and we are now in April!

Today my car has its first service, my eldest son is off to his girlfriends tonight, my second son is going to Thetfords "Go Ape" sleeping over tonight in a travel lodge and daughter Jasmine is going to my sisters for a sleepover. That will leave just hubby, myself and Ben. It will be like having just the one child???!!? - how peaceful.

My cars off for a service this morning and I need some compost, so a busy morning ahead. Oh yes and the police are coming round this morning to take a statement from Jamies girlfriend Kelly, who had her car broken into Wednesday evening! Ferensics have been and taken finger prints, but Kelly has to make a statement this morning. Bear did bark on Wednesday at midnight, 3 times, but because we are all so stupid, no one actually took any notice. It would appear that Ben heard a car go off at about the same time as Bears last bark, so i would assume he did frighten them off. Shame none of us thought to get up and take a look, none of us have slept properly since!

So although maybe life isn't going swimmingly well for us still, I am coping so much better. Feel much happier in myself than i have for a while now, so long may it last.

Now once again i seem to be rambling, you've probably fallen asleep already and I havn't shown you my card yet!!

Firstly a card i've made for my friend Lesley, who's birthday is on Monday. Simply stamped image with a background made using my distress pads, and the image has been slightly stickled!
Loving the warm colours here. Not my usual choice of colours but will definitely be using more often in future!

and secondly onto my Ellephantastic Dt card!

More lovely downloads from the lovely Helen. I am loving this adorable ladybug - Baby Bulgia. I have coloured with my copics and added glossy accents to her spots! She is available to buy here for just £0.75 what a bargain!!!

Easel cards are still a favourite of mine, will i ever bore of them? - me thinks not!

Have decorated the inside using my nestabilities - those hearts are great, and they have been embossed with my swiss dot embossing folder.

Black and red is a favourite colour combo for me, how striking! and laybirds are my second favourite insect! Have to be honest im not a lover of creepy crawlies, but butterflies and ladybirds are sooooo pretty!

Hope you have a wonderful day and back later with some more samples. Hugs Linda x

How beautiful! Love the floral image and the colours are so cheerful. Have fun in the green house, i'm in and out of the garden today too, desperately needs a tidy up after so many plants were lost to the frost this year

I know what you mean...I LOVE school holidays!!! I know...I know...I must be mad...but I cherish the thought of not being ordered about by a clock :)
I know it's far from funny...but I had to laugh at poor Bear trying his hardest, but being ignored! lol Hope it all gets sorted, it's pretty un-nerving isn't it x
Anyway...loving both of your cards...the colours in the first are beautiful...and the ladybug in the second is very cute :)
Have a fab weekend x
