Challenge 28 at the Creative Card Crew Challenge

Its wednesday, and im late posting my card for this weeks Creative Card Crew Challenge week 28!!! So sorry, its been manic here and im still not feeling my normal self. (My husband would probably say i've never been normal, but thats open to debate!).

Well this week you have the chance of winning this gorgeous whiff of joy stamp. We are being sponsored by Whiff Of Joy, and they have been one of my favourite stamp companies since they launched last year! i love all their designs but especially their Elisabeth Bell images.

This weeks challenge is to decorate the inside of your card. I don't do this as a matter of course as i am lazy!! but i have to say when i do take the extra time, i think the end result is much more professional.
As i have been tight on time, ive again used one of those lovely Lili of the Valley die cut images. perfect for a quick card!

I have embossed the hearts using my cuttlebug embossing folders and the hearts are from my nesties. My inside is a bit plain, but the Mojo has gone walkabouts again! Infact it didn't come back from the last walk yet, its obviously got lost, because ive got no sense of direction!!

Please go over to the Creative Card Crew Challenge Blog to see the other cards by the talented Design team members.
Well, things this end are still hectic, and im still not feeling my normal self. The virus i had last week has left me feeling very tired, then i had that lady time of the month, which completely zapped what little energy i had left. On Saturday i celebrated my 22nd wedding anniversary, my hubby brought me these gorgeous flowers. I have to say its taken 22 years to get these!! he has never been the romantic type, but maybe all that nagging has finally paid off. My husbands excuse is he thinks the flowers look better in the garden, what i have to remind him is we don't have any red roses or lilies in our garden!

Hopefully will be back later with a few cards, if i can find my MOJO. Have a good week, hugs Linda x

Friday, 18 September 2009

It's Friday morning already, and another week over. I have had a stressful week, which is why im late in my post today.

My lovely talented friend Tracy has launched her new blog called The Creative Cottage, which highlights her wonderful digi downloads. Please go take a look for yourself and pick up a freebie digi download kit, which includes a beautiful selection of papers and images. You can make the most gorgeous cards and all for free!!!

These are the cards i have made using this fabulous digi kit. I enjoyed using these papers and the fact that they are pink was a bonus, as you know thats my all time favourite colour!!

I was so priviliged to be asked to be part of Tracy's Design Team, thank you Tracy. I hope i can do your downloads justice. I am working along side 4 very talented ladies, so please go take a look at their blogs too.

I am thrilled to be working along side you ladies, and i love the creations you've made already.
Hope to be back later with some more cards using these beauties.
Enjoy your afternoon hugs Linda x

Clallenge 27 at the Creative Card Crew Challenge

Its Tuesday already, the week is flying again. Its a recipe this week at the Creative Card Crew Challenge.

Recipe Of
2 Paper's , 3 Flowers , 2 Brads , 1 Button
& 1 Ribbon.

I used one of the Lili of the Valley Die cuts that i have found absolutely perfect for quick christmas cards. I have stickled the snow and fur. Papers are i believe K & Co.

I really need to apologise as i am so behind with my blog hopping. I am having a rough time just now, and struggling to find any mojo or motivation to craft. Hopefully the cloud will lift soon. Hope everyone else is well. The weather has gone downhill, its raining and miserable outside, certainly doesn't help lift my mood. Hopefully the sun will return in a few days.

Will try and catch up with my blog hopping in a day or too. Have a good week, hugs Linda x

Week 26 at the Creative Crew Challenge - Have a Fairy Nice Day

Its Tuesday again and another week for the Creative Crew Challenge, this week set by me. I would like you to have a "Fairy Nice Day" interpret this however you wish. I have used an image sent to me by my friend Michelle, i believe its a TAC image. I love this fairy (angel). I have used papers from Making Memories called Boho Chic - Olivia. I am loving this paper stack at the moment along with others from the Making Memories range.

I hope you are all having a good week, i suspect most of your children are back at school now. It is certainly quiet in this house with Ben having no one to argue with! I have been busily stamping up some of my new stamps and have intentions of doing a batch of Forever Friends christmas cards this week. I can hardly believe we only have 3 months till Christmas, where has 2009 gone?
I hope you all have a good evening, i am intending to catch up with my blog hopping tomorrow, sorry if i havn't got round to visiting you yet.

A Card for PAIGE

The ever talented Erin, has some gorgeous blog candy up for grabs. However there is a twist to this candy. Erin would like you to make a card for 13year old Paige, who was involved in a serious boating accident. To read more about it go here.

I couldn't think of a better reason to make a card, even without the blog candy. I used my lovely Elisabeth Bell image and some of my favourite Making Memories Papers.

I have been struggling with inspiration for the last month or so, but i thoroughly enjoyed making this card for Paige, i hope she will like it, and it will help brighten her day. Sending both Paige and her family big hugs xxxxxx

So if you want to do something for someone deserving, go and make a card for Paige. You can either send your card directly to Paige or to Erin. Details availabe on Erins blog.

Thursday Morning and Back to School and some stamps for Sale

Im up early this morning, getting ready for the school run. Back to school, can you believe it, where did the six weeks holidays go? Its dark, miserable and windy today and no doubt raining by the time i leave for school, some things never change!

I have to say my daughter is looking very smart in her new uniform, best i take some photos as it will go downhill from now on!

I hope you are all having a good week and for those of you with children starting school for the first time today, im sending big hugs!!! i know its an emotional time for us mums when this happens! Seeing our babies leave the fold is very hard, especially if its your last baby! Im going through an emotional time myself, seeing all my babies grow up and becoming more and more independent, i feel as though ive been made redundant!

I have made a couple of cards over the lat couple of days, the first one is an anniversary card. I love this Rachelle Miller image. If anyone is interested i am actually selling the stamp ive used please email me here if you are interested.

I adore these papers but i can not for the life of me think where they come from!! using my pro-markers to colour in, and can't wait to get my new colours later this month!

Then a birthday card, using this adorable funky kits stamp, again i am selling this stamp so email me if you are interested. Papers are 'Olivia' from Making Memories. I adore this paper stack.
This is available from http://www.craftie-charlie.co.uk/ along with loads of other gorgeous paper stacks from MM. I have to say these papers sure do rival the qualtiy of Basic Grey another one of my favourites!

Found this gorgeous organza heart ribbon made by Gisela Graham, isn't it stunning? must get back to the shop in Chelmsford to see if they have any more!

I am continuing to clear some of the stamps i brought last year ready for new purchases this year! i already have my eye on the new releases coming from the ever talented Paula from pollycraft. They are look fabulous. However, even i realize you can only use so many stamps, with so little time, so i have decided to part with this woodland Elves. I would be happy to sell the whole collection together or separately. If you are interested please email me and make me an offer. Email at
I also have alot of the Rachelle Miller earlier stamps for sale and cuddly buddly and paper pretties. I am open for offers on these. There are pictures on earlier posts.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and will look forward to speaking again later. Hugs Linda x

Hope your having a great day so far, mine has been a bit of a letdown, no post today despite expecting at least one package!!!
I have to say i have been so disappointed with the postal service recently, everything seems to take longer than expected. Does anyone else have the same gripe as me?????
Have a good afternoon, speak again later. Hugs Linda x

Creative Card Crew Challenge Week 24 - Pink,Black and white

Week 24 already at the Creative Card Crew Challenge, this week we are being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and our challenge is a colour one, use pink, black and white. Well this was a bit of a challenge for me personally, i had no idea what to do!!! i love these whimsy designs, especially this adorable polar bear, i think he is perfect for some of my christmas cards this year. I have stickled him all over, as i couldn't find my glitter paper!!!

Papers are by my friend Anna. Available from Anna-Marie Designs, who's link is on my sidebar.
I have also made a couple of quick christmas cards using some of the ready decoupaged stickers from the forever friends range. Papers are from last years stash, not sure if they are DCWV or papermania, sorry.

These 3d stickers are just perfect for those quick cards, and the sentiments are also done for you already, im not opposed to cheating, especially with so many christmas cards to make this year!

Again another forever friends 3d sticker and papers from last years stash.

Making use of my valentine Martha Stewart border punch, finally!! and also the cuttlebug embossing folders.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable bank holiday weekend. I can not believe we wont get another bank holiday till christmas, what a thought!!! hope you are already for the new school year. I have all Jasmines uniform but havn't finished labelling it up yet. Not looking forward to the tedius school run, as most of you know its my pet hate. I also hate the packed lunch too, oh dear, what a moany old mum i am!!!!
Well everyone i hope you have a great day, will try and pop by some more blogs later this afternoon. I have 2 very important birthday cards to make this afternoon, i daren't leave it any longer!!!
Hugs to you all, Linda x
