A touch of Lilac

Another batch of cards to share with you but this time using the lilac papers from Papermanica in the Contemporary Colossal Paper Pack. I didn't buy these papers and when i was given them did not think i would use them at least not for christmas cards, however i found them invaluable, and love the colours and simple designs. The first image is a dimension fourth stamps which was sent to me by the lovely Maria. Thank you Maria, i adored using this cute stamps. it has been coloured using my pro markers. The snowflakes are a punch and the sentiment is from http://www.anna-mariedesigns.co.uk/
The next card was using the paper pretties
club stamp. Again coloured using pro markers.

This card is a hanglar image sent to me via a swap, and the die cut houses are from a set that i accumulated a while back from Create and Craft i believe. Again coloured using pro markers and the snowflake is a die cut. Stickle highlights on the houses and snowballs.

The next three cards are using the designs of the ever talented Sally-Ann. Her images are just a dream to work with and i just adore these snowmen. They worked beautifully with the papers. Thank you Sally-Ann for your wonderful designs which inspire us all.

Well thats all from me for now, hugs Linda x

QUICK CHRISTMAS CARDS - Sorry

Its Sunday already, i can't believe another week has passed me by. I apologise for once again, the lack of blogging this week. I am so sorry i havn't been round to visit you all. I promise by Wednesday this week things will be back to normal and i will get back to my blogging with the enthusiasm i had pre-christmas preparations.

Here are a few of the cards i have made for christmas using some toppers that my lovely friend Emma had sent me. I promised to show her what i did with them, hope she likes them.

I have been buried under my christmas papers and embelishments desperately trying to get all my christmas cards finished, and i am pleased to report by the end of tomorrow, i should have finished.

I have promised myself that next year i am starting much earlier, i have to get myself more organized!!!!

It has been a busy weekend. Yesterday we made a start on putting up the christmas tree and decorations, we need to do the finishing touches today. We also plan a trip into town to the special christmas event being held in the high street, with supposeably lots of small stalls selling nice christmas fayre. Its also chance to do a little bit more christmas shopping.

I hope you are all on top of your christmas preparations, is it just me or has it crept up quickly this year??

I will be posting some more cards tomorrow morning. This is the first lot i could post, as i was sending out alot of the others. These are for friends and family here at home, so its safe to show you all.

Well i hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever you decide to do.

B-day X-mas Weekly Challenge Sketch 7

Well ladies i can't believe its the start of another week!!

Yesterday i had no internet access, our line was dead after phoning BT they told us they would be out Monday to look. Then suddenly at 8.00pm it came back on, i have no idea what was going on there. But it is obviously a little temperamental, so i may be offline on and off this week.

I hope you like my card for this weeks challenge sketch 7. I actually found this a nice easy sketch to work with. I need easy right now, with all the christmas card making in full swing, my head feels near to exploding. I have had to keep the cards very simple so sorry to you all in advance. I didn't take any more photos to post. I forgot!! see my head is all over the place.

I am going to try and keep up on the blog hopping this week, so hopefully i will get round to you all.

Thank you for this award which i have received from the talented Marcea, the lovely Fiona, Heather and the inspiration Joey. I am honoured to have been thought of.

Have you ever seen such an elegant award !! And it has such a great sentiment behind it ~ here's it is:

This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind blogger's aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight blogger's who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award. So .... the 8 wonderful ladies that I nominate are ...

Jill, Vanessa, Sue, Heidi, Emma, Maria, Nikki, Donna.

However this is worthy of every single blogger in my opinion. Hugs to you all.

Christmas cards/Thank you

Well i can hardly believe its almost a week since i last posted any cards. I can only say i have been finding it very hard to keep on top of things this week. After working all day Saturday and sunday last week, i spent the rest of the week catching up with household duties and doing some of the dreaded christmas shopping.

For weeks i've been wanting to start on my christmas cards, and finally this morning i started in earnest. Below are a couple of cards that i have made. I am afraid they are quite simple as i have so many to make if i put too much detail on them ill never get them done.

In total i have made about 24 cards today so im feeling pretty happy with myself. I think im halfway there or maybe a little under half way but its a start!

Am hoping that tomorrow ill get most of the others finished and then i can concentrate on joining in with some of the fabulous challenges again.

I apologise for not getting round to your blogs as often as i'd like, i have been trying to do the rounds every couple of days, but if i have missed you i am really sorry. Hopefully ill get back to normal this week.

A note to Heidi if your reading this, i am sorry i have not received your email hun, i will try and mail you again tomorrow and hopefully we will have more luck.
Does anyone else have the same trouble with emails going astray? i have found this an increasingly occurance lately, and i can't think why. Its another mystery!
I have enjoyed inking up the new Tilda club stamps but unfortunately have not yet got round to making up any cards using them. Whilst doing a bit of blog hopping i have come across some marvellous cards using the new images. I adore the kissing couple under the mistletoe. Im determined to make a card with that one next.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, im waiting for the snow that they have forecast, but as yet not one snowflake!! that is so typical, we rarely get snow here in Aldham, sob! sob! I love to see it when it has first fallen and it just looks like a blanket covering everything, although i have to admit im not looking forward to driving in it. In fact i've warned my hubby that he will be doing the school run on Monday if there is snow or ice. Don't want accident number 3 do i ?

Well it has been good catching up with you would love to hear from you if you want to drop me a line its littlepopits@aol.com

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Hugs Linda x

Good morning everyone, its been a while since i've been on my blog. I apologise for not being round to visit you but as most of you will know i have been feeling poorly with the dreaded cold. Jekhotar/Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

What a dreadful week, im so glad its the weekend again! What with having the children sick all week, then yesterday i got it again. Thats twice already, i apologise for the lack of blog hopping and comments. I tried to get round as many as i could, but did have to face defeat and go to bed. I havn't felt much like making cards and the mojo has completely gone. I made 2 cards only by following the sketches provided. Both are basic and i apologise for the terrible photos. Hopefully the weekend will bring with it new inspiration!!! Hope you are all well, and for any one suffering the same nasty bugs my thoughts are with you, drink plenty of hot chocolate and have lots of hot baths, it works for me!

SPOONFUL OF SUGAR CHALLENGE

This was an image given to me in a swap, im not sure what make it is. Rather her than me, i don't do exercise! Coloured using my SU Brush Markers. The ribbons i think come from Poppicrafts, and the papers are Imanginese and K & Co. Sentiment brought from Anna-Marie Designs.

JEKHOTAR CHALLENGE

This is my entry into Jekhotars challenge, i love this Melinda image, and i got to use up some scraps of paper. The image was coloured using my promarkers and some sakura glitter pens. The sentiment is a K & Co sticker.

Pollycraft Cards - Finally!

POLLYCRAFT STAMPS

It's been an awful start to the week, both my children really poorly with some kind of bug and the cold. Soaring temperatures and throwing up have meant I have had very little time to craft, which has been driving me mad. My new pollycraft stamps arrived monday and only last night did i manage to get the adorable images stamped up. I spent the evening colouring and this morning have finally managed to put 4 cards together. I just adore these cute little children, their ears are what appealed to me the most!!

Can you believe these stamps came about by Paula not being able to sleep!! I wish i could produce something as great as this when i can't sleep. All i manage to produce are nice suitcases beneath my eyes!!!!

I have managed to do some blog hopping, but i am behind with my emails, but i will get round to answering them today. It's the first day Jasmine has come downstairs so hopefully i will be able to do some more crafting before she demands my attention.

I still can't understand why im getting this layout, i must have touched a button somewhere, but im damned if i know which one!! if anyone has any ideas please let me know

Now all thats left to do is ink up the remaining 3 Pollycraft stamps and then my new sugar nellies. Fingers crossed i managed to do that today. Hugs for now Linda x

I am using an image sent to me by one of my wonderful friends, the sentiment came from a sheet brought from Anna-Marie designs. The snowflakes are a x-cut punch. Diamantes from stock. papers are the DCWV Luxury Stack.

These next two cards are for my christmas collection, papers are from a HOTP stack brought from QVC some time ago. Im not actually what the image is, so if anyone can help please let me know.

Thats all the cards I actually managed today. I have loads of images coloured though, ready for mounting, hopefully will get round to doing that this week, who knows i might even manage to do some more challenges.
