SPECIAL KEEPSAKE
Isn't this adorable? Emma from Elf designs sent me this last Friday, its hanging in my hallway for all to see. Thank you Emma its lovely. I have some other lovely cards to post, but im having problems with my camera at the moment. Looks like i might have to buy a new one.
Before I go, has anyone else been ordering the new stamps from Funky kits? they're gorgeous as always, and Spiral Whisper have their new stamps online to pre-order. I adore the Max and Milly collection. If your trying to be good, sit on your hands girls!
I'm getting a bit worried as I don't seem to have many takers for the candy blog, despite having an increase in hits, does anyone have any idea why this might be? Maybe they just don't like the look of the candy. Will be adding to it wednesday ladies, so make sure you have your name entered! Enjoy the rest of your evening, and happy crafting.

Weather Blues
Morning all, well another miserable gloomy day ahead! Am I the only one who is fed up with our weather? I am convinced I suffer from the condition SAD, my mood completely changes when there is a bit of sunshine. Would be great to hear if there is anyone else who suffers the same as me. I'm not feeling too bad at the moment, but it can get me quite down if it drags on. It makes me feel reclusive, and I tend not to want to leave the house. David always says I should have been a tortoise or hedgehog and sleep through the winter. Doesn't sound that unattractive to me I have to say! lol.
For those of you who are interested this has been my week so far.
Saturday we went to a tourist attraction called Tropical Wings World of Wildlife. http://www.tropicalwings.co.uk/ It was in South Woodham Ferrers in Essex, so if you are ever that way its definitely worth a visit. Beautiful butterflies, birds and various other animals including hubbys favourite - otters. I adored the wallabies and Jasmine preferred the chipmunks. We watched a bird show with a difference, not your normal birds of prey but a varied selection including the raven, a truly magnificent bird. I have to admit im not a bird lover, but my dear hubby is, so when he wanted to watch yet another bird show I could feel my heart sink! Of course I agreed, after all he does take me to my favourite craft shops, which obviously don't interest him at all! Well, what can I say it was marvellous, much more entertaining (down to those demonstrating I think) and educational that I could have ever imagined. As I said we saw unusual birds, so much so that I can't even remember what they were called! Okay, your right, it may not be that the names are unusual, but more to the point, my memory is terrible, worsened from the day I hit 40, im sure! I lost my phone twice yesterday, after finding it the first time, I put it somewhere SAFE only not to be able to find it hours later!!! I searched the house high and low, then gave up and went to bed. Hubby raised his eyebrows in that usual 'not again' expression and then went on his own mission. Minutes later he returned, phone in hand, found on the window sill, that I HAD previously looked on, but DID NOT see it! Tell me, is there any hope for me?!!!
Now, see what I mean, I forgot what I was saying, oh yes, back to the wildlife centre. It also had some reptiles and your usual pets corner, huge tortoise, lemurs and meerkat. We are going back later on in the year and taking Ben with us. He has wanted to be able to feed the monkeys, but we have been unable to find anywhere that would do this, whilst it is possible in our local Colchester Zoo, you have to be 15 years old, and alas he is only 11. But, here you can do it at 12 so thats not so long to wait. We decided not to tell him yet, as he has only just turned 11 so he still has a little wait, and he unfortunately has my lack of patience! We took a picnic with us, its our first this year, I adore picnics, do you? We were there about 4 and a half hours, but im sure you could drag it out a little longer.
Sunday I spent the day, attempting to make costumes for the schools pilgramage!! Did manage to do a couple of cards, so I went to bed happy!
Monday night Jasmine had me up all evening with toothache. Have an appointement tomorrow at 9.30.
So now its Wednesday, have to take my sons girlfriend to the doctors this morning, buy some knitting needles, and look at the Poppicrafts website as they are apparently having a sale!
Hope you havn't fallen asleep, and until next time, happy crafting!

Card Challenge Entries for Dutch Card Challenge, Sarah Kay
This entry for the Sarah Kay challenge, is a little different for me. I love the vintage feel to it, and the colours are slightly more subtle than those I generally use. I adore all the Sarah Kay images, but havn't had time to play with them much yet.
Have been busy this afternoon doing entries for this weeks card challenges. This is for the dutch card challenge sketch. I do seem to have a thing about black and white just now, but I think the red here, just adds a little something.
Colour challenge
This is my entry for the colour challenge on http://slumbercards.blogspot.com/ . Brown and pink another one of my favourite colour combinations. Little tilda as cute as ever, and I adore the ribbons. Unfortunately the image isn't too clear, because I need to put new batteries into my camera, sorry.

Busy Day
This is another card I made using the iris folding rubber stamp, its a very versatile stamp and I want a pair of shoes like this!!
This is another card I made several weeks ago, but only just found! Not that my craft room is messy! lol
This New Home card I made for a friend who's daughter has moved out into her own pad.
I didn't make this card today its one I made on a previous crafting session.

I have made this card for my friends birthday, this was using one of the iris folding stamps, but obviously not iris folding! It is one of my favourite stamps, and I adore bling and glitter, as you can see.
This is a card i made using the lovely stamps by Jane Nesterenko, I think they're soooo cute. Papers are K & Co again! no surprise there.
This is the card I have made to enter the blog candy on http://cstoen.blogspot.com/ a sugar nellie design available from funky kits , she is so adorable.
Good evening. I have had a busy day, doing what I enjoy most, crafting. I have made a card for the abc-card challenge. http://abc-challenge.blogpot.com/ . This weeks topic is animals. I adore these Gruffies by Stampendous. They are just so cute. Some of my favourite K & Co Papers again.
More Iris Folding Cards
This is a batch of Iris folding cards that i started work on a little while ago. I do the iris folding first, then make up the cards, finally completed them last night. Most of them are using K & Co papers which are my favourites. Hope you enjoy them and if you would like to purchase the stamps look on http://anna-mariedesigns.co.uk/ where you can also see loads more samples, some of mine are in the gallery too. Anna is a very talented lady and has given me much inspiration and encouragement with my own card making.
Again I apologise for the photos that are a little out of focus.
After doing my daily lessons with my son Benjamin, I actually think im going to have time to do some more crafting. I am very excited today as my eldest sons get back from their trip to Amsterdam. Have only just thought, I should have got them to find a crafting shop and brought me back some goodies, mind you, my boys probably wouldn't want to step inside one, they already complain on my bits taking over the house! Personally, I think there is plenty more room for a few more crafty goodies. I might think about suspending pots from the ceiling, like I saw on another blog recently! My boys have a large games/tv room outside, and I have my eye on that if they ever leave home.
My darling daughter is off to London this afternoon to see High School Musical, she is so excited. We took her to see it in Norwich in February she loved it. This time she is going with a friend who won tickets on a local radio station SGR. In my day it was Grease, I so wanted to be Sandy! an uncurable romantic, its one of my all time favourites.
Going to work on my challenges for this week now and play with the new Magnolia stamps. See you later x
