HAPPY FRIDAY a card and some Projects

Its Friday again, and another week has flown by, i must admit however, im glad to see the back of this week. You will understand why if you've seen my previous post. I am staying positive though, as im sure my luck has to change!!! how much bad luck can one person have????

Well my MOJO has been on a vacation, i think its due back any day soon, or at least i hope so. I had to make hubby's friend a 50th birthday card for today. I have known about it for weeks, but needless to say left it to the last minute to make it. Males cards are always so challenging for me, because you can't use pretty ribbons and gems, two of my favourite things! in the end i opted for the number 50 as the main focal point with some sayings i thought were appropriate!

The papers are from my lovely La Creme DCWV , i adore this pad! I wasn't overly happy with it, but with time not on my side it had to do!! being a bloke he probably wont even look at it anyway.

Last week i had a go at making my altered memo board. Its missing something but im not quite sure what?

And finally a candle that my daughter made. Hers was so much better than mine. She coloured it with pencils which seemed much more effective than the pro markers i used!

My first attempt, but as you can see, not very clear with the colouring, hopefully practice does make perfect, and i will need to do plenty more practice!!!

So thats me done again for today. I hope you all have something nice planned for the weekend. The weather is cold and miserable here, this afternoon, we've had rain, hail stones , sleet and then finally a sprinkling of snow! Maybe tomorrow the sun will make an appearance!
Hopefully back over the weekend with something else to show you. Big hugs Linda x

Hi Linda - thanks so much for popping by today and leaving a lovely message. I don't get around to visit everyone as often as I would like - don't know where the time goes! I love the 50th card, and your comment re. the guys probably not looking at cards really made me LOL! So sorry to hear about your son's bad luck with the car - I do hope that everything works out OK.
Hugs, Sylvia xxxx

good to see you crafting again Linda and that 50th birthday card is fab - love those papers! I've only made one candle so far, but should try again - I do think darker colours work better as you are aiming to cover with a layer of wax so that will dull things down a bit.

Hi Linda, The card is great. I hope he looked at it LOL! I feel the same way every time I need to make a man card. I love how the candles turned ouy. I am going to try that technique one of these days. Thanks for the visit to my blog and leaving your love.

So sorry to hear you are having some hard luck this year so far! When I first got my license, I got into an accident in the first 2 weeks. Then received numerous speeding tickets (that's what my dad gets by giving me a classic mustang to drive). I went through a bad spell with driving. Went through lots of driving courses to get the points removed. And, finally when I became an "adult", I seemed to gain better judgement! But I can only imagine the frustration from the parent's persective!!

Love the card you made for your friend.
