Welcome to "Rocky Bear" and Quick Makes

So Tuesday already and i havn't had chance to introduce you to the latest member of our family. Some of you will be aware that we were looking for a dog to join our family. We had set our mind on an English bulldog, as we thought a medium sized dog would be better. After visiting every vets and pet store, as well as the internet, we could find anything suitable that we could afford!! then we decided we would like to re-home a dog. Hubby had been against getting a dog till just recently, but we caught him looking on the internet himself saturday and this is what he found!!

Introducing our gorgeous new "Rocky Bear"!! a 7 month old rotty. He is just adorable. We absolutely adore him and he has settled already into our family home. It seems as though he has always been here. We have never had such a well behaved, docile, gentle dog!! He isn't the vicious dog that the rotty is often portrayed, and we are looking forward to sharing our home with him.
This is "Rocky Bear" introducing himself to the fish!! our chickens aren't so keen on him, but he is not at all interested in them, and when they start clucking he is infact scared!
So my lovelies due to the fact that Bear has arrived, my crafting time has somewhat been reduced, these are the cards i made on saturday before he arrived. I am working on fathers Day cards for the shop just now. I am short on male images, so will be having to purchase myself some more male orientated digi downloads. Have already this morning purchased the wonderful mens downloads from the wonder Digi Boutique. Shall try and get to work with them this afternoon.
This morning im off to town, its Benjamins 12th birthday tomorrow, and im ashamed to say i havn't a card or present in sight at the moment. I have no idea what to buy him as he had asked for a paintball gun and a dirt bike, of which he can not have either!!!! something sensible we said, his idea of sensible is different to ours. I had all afternoon of Ben sulking because we had said no, arrrgghhhhhH!!! Wish me luck on my shopping venture, as im going to need it.

I have used some of the Daisy and Dandelion decoupage sheets to make these quick fathers Day cards.
These decoupage images are a dream to work with and the papers are included.

These papers are fromt the Papermania pack, brilliant for these mens cards.

This is a birthday card that i made originally for the Creative Card Crew Challenge this week which is a card for a Child. But then i decided it maybe wasn't that child orientated. Come back later to see the card i actually did use for my DT card this week.

This is one of my favourite whiff of joy images, and i love this colour combination at the moment, as you might have noticed.

Am also loving my glossy accents too, so if it doesn't move im glossy accenting it! Papers are from the DCWV Birthday stack.

Right im off to get ready for the school run, will be back this evening with my Creative Crew Challenge card, have a good day my lovelies, and i hope you are all still enjoying the sunshine!
Hugs Linda x

Oh wow Linda I love your mens cards, you should enter them for this weeks one stop craft challenge, I chose the theme which is 'lets hear it for the boys!' Anyway hun, why are you not buying poor Ben a paintball gun? lol Just think of the fun he would have redecorating the house for you LOL. Don't kids have the craziest idea's? but to them they make perfect sense. Good luck with the shopping trip can't wait to find out what you bought him. Donna x

Rotty bear looks so cute Linda, and your cards are all lovely too!

We used to have a dog who was terrorised by the budgie we had then and if he saw a crow sitting ahead of him on a walk he turned round and went the other way!

A huge big welcome to Bear, and sloppy licks and tail wags from my gang too xx I'm a firm believer you get back out of a dog what you put in and it saddens me when the larger breeds are tagged with a "bad" name so good on you for giving Bear a wonderful forever home sweetie xxx

Love your cards, sorry I have not visited for ages, had soooo much work on but am all caught up now so will be visiting more regularly xx

He is gorgeous! Congrats!

Nothing wrong with Rotties whatsoever. All those I have ever known have had wonderful temperaments. No coincidence that they also had lovely owners with common sense too. Agree totally with Bev - the owner has a lot to do with how a dog turns out.

My dog is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and I grew up with the breed, so I'm more than familiar with inaccurate portrayals and breed stereotyping!
