New Challenge Blog Going Live Today and some Gorjussness

Good morning and hope you are all waking up to some nice sunshine! unfortunately all i woke up to was rain and a miserable dull outlook! even the chickens were'nt in a hurry to be let out this morning!

Well i have some exciting news this morning, the new challenge blog goes live today! It has been set up by my lovely friend Tasha and her friends Paula and Sharon. I am thrilled to be part of this new challenge blog, and hope that you will all join us when you have time.

This weeks challenge is to use Green, which i have to admit was a bit of a challenge for me. I like Green but usually only when i mix it with pink! or red (for christmas). For reasons i wont bore you with, i didn't know i had to make a card till about 6.30pm last night!!! so this is a rush job, not sure if im totally happy with it, but hope you will find some inspiration from it.

The papers are unknown im afraid, it was some odd papers i found in a packet! the image of course is one of the fabulous Pollycraft images, and my favourite one!!! Once again coloured with my pro-markers.
The border punch is the new punch i brought at the weekend by Fiskars called apron lace. Im already loving this punch. I brought it from Sugar and Spice. A lovely shop at the Barleylands Centre in Billericay, well worth a visit if you are ever nearby. Ribbons and flowers from stash and sentiment printed myself. Mum is die cut using the quickutz merry and bright alphabet.

Some of you will already know that my darling daughter Jasmine has her own blog. She was invited to be a guest designer on the challenge blog which really made her day. Her card is below using one of those fabulous High Hopes images.
So moving on, these are the gorjuss girl cards i made at the weekend. The first one is one of my favourite images. Papes are basic grey.
Then my other favourite image was this one. These girls are just gorgeous aren't they? i love their hair they look kind of devlish too!
Again papers are from Basic Grey the sentiment i believe is one from a kanaban kit i brought ages ago, the leaves are a macGill punch and the flower i brought from a nearby florist wholesaler in their clearance basket.

Some of you will know i was moaning about the quality of my pictures. Some of you gave me your top tips to better photos, so thank you. It will not suprise many of you to know i found a simpler remedy last night!!! oh yes, im a techno phobic as you know, and only someone as stupid as me would not think to clean the lens of the camera!!!! yes, honestly, thats all i did last night before taking my challenge photo, and what a difference!!!!! So from now on hopefully my photos will be a bit clearer. The bottom photos on this post were before i cleaned the lens and i think the difference is noticeable!
So ladies, hoping to see some of you taking part in our challenge this week see you again on Friday.
Hugs Linda x

Love the green, it just makes you smile and think of spring. Your daughter's card is very lovely too.
A clean lens definately helps for a better visual image.
Good natural light is another single thing that improves image quality a lot. I choose a light filled place on a bright day. To get really good detail, I will take my art outside. I crop rather than use the zoom too much and try to hold the camera as steady as possible.
Hope that helps, now I will go back and take another look at your lovely work, I could use a little inspiration right now ;)
