Creative Card Crew Challenge wk 48 - Birthdays

Good morning to you all how are you enjoying this fabulous weather we are having just now? it really does put a spring into your step doesn't it? certainly has lifted my mood, and not before time. I have to say though i just wish the wind would drop a little as it has been a little too cold to sit outside in it. Can not believe just how quickly this Easter holiday is going too and i seem to be chasing my tail a bit. Off to see my sister later this morning, so no crafting from me today.

Now despite feeling quite upbeat at the moment I am not sleeping too well. Why is it as soon as you settle down to sleep your head starts filling up with worries? worries you hadn't given any thought to in the day?????? then you spend the next couple of hours trying to shift them with no avail!!!! I have to say last night I had a particularly bad night, worrying about getting old (something i've never really given much thought to in the past, at least for no length of time) and then worrying about something happening to my lovely hubby and being left on my own!!! now honestly, where did that come from????? All I know is it made me feel awful and it also made me think several things over and now im tossing things around in my mind!

Yes, I know im rambling on, but the point of me telling you this, is I realized I have once again got a little too obsessed with my crafting. So i have decided i will be cutting back on my crafting time even more than before and also clearing alot of my crafting stash. I've done it before, but this time I am going to be a little more ruthless.

Im off to Shepton Mallet next week, but on my return I plan to start clearing all those things i dont use, so if you are looking for anything crafty, watch this space, i might well have it for sale!

Enough waffling from me, your probably asleep by now, and down to business, its week 48 at the Creative Card Crew Challenge. This week the fabulous Janna has set the challenge - "Birthday".

We have the fabulous Stamping Boutique sponsoring us this week, if you have not yet seen their wonderful designs, please go take a look.

For my card i have used the chair and background image from Stamping Boutique, and added one of my favourite tilda images.

I have distressed the background with my distress inks and added stickle highlights.

I have added glossy accents to the flower and stuck tilda on with 3d pads for extra dimension.
The sentiment is from an Anna Griffin set, and i have used my swiss dot embossing folder to add extra dimension.

The papers are from the fabulous Papermania papers - Boutique. I love the classical designs of this design set.

Hope you will join us this week and i look forward to visiting you and seeing your wonderful creations.

Another Stamping Boutique Image

Made this card using another fabulous digital boutique image, how adorable is this little girl, i want a pram like that!

Enjoy your day and the sunshine hugs Linda x

Fantastic cards, as usual!!

I hear you on the not sleeping because you have worries! I'm with you on that one. I, too, have worried about what would happen to me if something happened to my hubby, too! Not a pleasant worry....and where did it come from?! I do feel your pain.
