Friendship cards

I can hardly believe the half term holiday is almost over. I've achieved very little this week. I did however get to make 2 cards this morning which im thrilled about!!! Its a beautiful day here the sun is out, and Ben is on the mend. He has had a throat virus since Tuesday and been really poorly which has meant we have been in most of the week! I woke up with a cold yesterday morning and my head still feels a little bit heavy!

I was feeling very sorry for myself on Tuesday as it would have appeared that most of my friends had received their gorgeous new whiff of joy club stamps. Mine did not turn up until Thursday. But, of course as all good things, they were well worth the wait. I spent yesterday afternoon/evening inking up the stamps, and later this afternoon im going to start colouring some in.

I have already seen some gorgeous cards by you clever ladies using the new images, they look a dream to work with. Now im looking forward to the next kit to be launched, whenever that may be.

As most of my friends know, its been a really hard time for me lately with lots of problems at home. I don't think we're out of the woods yet, but definitely things seem on the right track! I just want to once again thank all those wonderful friends who have emailed me with their support and wishes. You will never know just how much that has meant to me. I feel very lucky to have such wonderful friends.

However i felt i had to mention that although all that has happened has been very traumatic for me and my husband this terrible time has also brought into my life a very special person who emailed me and has been a tower of strength to me. I think she will know who she is, but hunny just want to let you know, you made me see things from another angle, and that has proved invaluable! It has given me hope that my son will, when he's ready, turn his life around. I will never forget your kind email, and i know you have been having a bad time of it yourself lately, remember if i can help in any way im here. THANK YOU!

So ladies i coloured this image in with the intentions of making a valentines card. Of course as per usual i wasn't organized well enough and didn't get chance to use it. So i decided to use it in a friendsip card. My favourite Melinda stamp and for me a different colour scheme for a change.

The papers are from a HOTP TSV from QVC sometime last year. Ribbons from stash, and flowers are Prima, with flower spacers in the centres.

This card i made earlier in the week for another special friend. Her son is home from Iraq, after doing a marvellous job out there. He celebrated his 21st birthday on Thursday. Hope you had a fantastic birthday Adam. Donna, enjoy having your wonderful son home, love to you all XXXX

Then finally another friendship card that i made this morning. Another image already coloured and one of my favourite Rachelle Miller images. I have no idea what papers they are, as i received them via one of Karins fabulous RAK swaps. The butterfly was a free gift from a craft magazine, and th flowers are sequins with diamantes in the middle.

So ladies i think spring is on the way, looking forward to making some nice bright spring cards this weekend. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the half term and look forward to catching up with you all again tomorrow.
I am off to do some blog hopping now. Hugs Linda x

These are all such beautiful cards Linda, I love all the images you have used and the colours you have used on each of them.
Have been very busy and I am still working on creating some downloads, but am still hesitating in taking the plunge as it means going self employed and filling in a tax return-yuk!!
I'm sure I will take the plunge though just need more time to get set up,

Fabulous cards Linda...you're so clever at making them all so different and beautifully stunning!

....and you're so good at catching up with everyone and making time for people....If it helps, one of my brothers was a nightmare during his teens and is now a lovely, caring father and husband...sometimes, it is just a matter of waiting for them to grow up.... and not always a nice option, but a big shock often does the trick!

Hope you have a lovely weekend Linda xx

Linanna, these are such gorgeous cards. I loved the friendship one but I think the one pulling at my heart strings is the one for your friend's son - sadly a lot of sons/daughters/other family members/other friends do not come home to their beloved family and friends.

I am sorry to hear that you have been having a hard time. Life and its consequences can be very difficult to cope with at times - I know that with my own health problems - but thankfully you have had the support of a good friend via e-mail and that will have made such a difference. Hopes things get better very soon.

Kym xx
