Crafty Pad Challenge wk 7 / My Babies/A Swap Blog

This is going to be a long post my friends so hope your sitting comfortably.

Sunday again and another challenge on the Crafty Pad blog site. This weeks challenge is to include embossing, albeit dry embossing, or heat embossing.

I decided to incorporate both in my card this year, although you can't clearly see the heat embossing frame surrounding the faith image. The swirly border down the left hand side is a cuttlebug embossing border, highlighted with stickles. The water is also heat embossed.

If you enter this week you have the chance of winning this fabulous prize below.

The wonderful Debbie has been very busy lately and is releasing these new stamps tomorrow. Aren't they just great? Go and check them out here.

So its been a fairly busy weekend. I have been catching up with my image swaps, and am pleased to announce i am up to date, so anyone expecting images will be getting them early part of this week, apologies for the delay.

I also made a few cards to accompany the images, unfortunately i forgot to photograph some of them, but here is one i made.

I didn't get round to making the valentine cards though and only have this one to show you today. This is using another one of the fabulous grab a doodle downloads from my very talented friend Sally-Ann.

Now ladies for something i thing alot of you might very well be interested in. I have recently been in touch with the lovely Emma. She had been thinking about a new blog where we have the opportunity to swap images. With the credit crunch hitting us all, we thought it might be good if we could find a way of getting some new images without having to buy all those wonderful stamps that are out there right now! So ladies if you are looking for any specific images and can not afford to buy the stamps just now, but have something you can offer in return, go over to the Stamparound blog and find out how you can do this.

Please feel free to add this banner to your blogs. We are still looking for 25 ladies to join us in this venture, if your interested please remember to go here.

Hope to see some of you there.
JASMINES LATEST CARDS
These are the latest cards by my daughter Jasmine, i have to say i was very impressed with them, as she had absolutely no help from me!!! and she did these 3 in less than an hour. I need to get some tips from her i think!!!

MY BABIES

And finally, my babies! These are my bearded dragons introducing Sandy on the right and snowflake on the left. This is them after having a bath, they are drying off on one of my newly washed towels!!!! - dear hubby put them on here!!! as if i havn't enough washing to do as it is. I now have to re-wash this towel!!!!

I am very pleased how clear the second photo came out, i just wish my photos of my cards were as clear!!!

So we went to pizza hut for tea yesterday, and I ate far too many carbs!!! and later wished i had stuck to the salad bar. When will i ever learn, to listen to my stomach, telling me its full already!!! Mind you that goats cheese pizza was delicious! unfortunately i had no room left for desert, no matter how much i jumped up and down!

So ladies it salad for me today for lunch, or a plate of vegetables and a bit of meat. While the rest of the family tuck into roast potatoes, yorkshire putting and honeyed parsnips!

It is very cold here this morning and the wind is blowing everything everywhere! I have no plans for venturing out today. Just a bit of crafting and maybe a film.

Hope you are having a good day, will speak to you again in the morning. Hugs Linda x
