B-Day, X-mas card Challenge Week 17 and Its Snowing!

Wow! its a white blanket outside! havn't seen it like this in years. Got up wowed and wooed and then remembered it was a school day!! Listened to the local radio to see if the school was closed, and alas ours must have been the only school in colchester still open!!!! I rang the school just to check and was greeted by Jasmines school teacher. She obviously confirmed it was open, and i explained that i wasn't prepared to drive in the snow so my husband would have to bring her late after he had taken Jamie into work. She was happy with that. When my hubby came down and i told him, he insisted no way was he driving down the country lanes in this weather only to get a phone call later to say she had to be collected because of more snow! I refused to ring the school back so he did, and after e expressing his concern came off and said it was fine!!!!! so yesssss result, no school run today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The children are thrilled and outside playing in it as i type!!!

Hope for those of you who have had to go out are home safely now, and for those about to venture out, please be extra careful as the roads are tretcherous, and we don't want any accidents.

Im sure all the children at home are going to have a ball, playing snowballs, building snowmen and generally having fun!!

Me, im going to put on a nice roast dinner (didn't bother yesterday) have a play with the children and then get back to my crafting!

JCBC Challenge

Another week at the JCBC challenge and a wonderful sketch . This is my card for this weeks challenge. The image is an Edwin one coloured with my pro markers and the papers and sentiments are from a HOTP pad brought from QVC a couple of years ago!

I enjoyed using this sketch so much i also made another card for a special friend. A wonderful Whiff of Joy image and again papers from the HOTP pad.

The lucky winner is Annie. Annie i will be sending the images out to you later this week hunny. Congratulations!

oh wow Linda, I love those cards, what a fabulous sketch! Good for you and your DH, I wouldn't drive in those conditions either, our schools policy is that it is up to the parents to decide ultimately if it is safe for the children to travel to school. Glad the children got to enjoy a day off in the snow! We still don't have any!
have a great evening, hugs Debx
