Excapism in Stamping after 2nd accident this month!

What a morning, it was raining this morning, I hate driving in the rain. Did the usual school run, but on my way back going round a bend and the car skidded. Still not sure what happened, I was only doing 25 mph but I lost control of the car and ended up across the other side of the road in a ditch! I have never felt at such a loss! as anyone will know who follows my blog, I had a lorry reverse into me just under a month ago, I only got my car back on Friday! Now two accidents in under a month, im losing all confidence in my driving. I've been driving over twenty years with no claims then in the last month not one but 2 accidents. I am happy not to have to go out and collect my daughter this afternoon, my eldest son is going to do it, im not sure I could get behind the wheel just yet. I consider myself extremely lucky that nothing was coming the other way, and the kind gentlemen who came to my aid, said it always happens on that bend, which I didn't find any comfort.

Not quite sure how I drove home, but I did take a slow drive, i was relieved to pull into my drive thats for sure. After a couple of cups of tea and my husbands reassuring words, I decided to put my mind to something a little more constructive.

I received this wonderful stamp from Pollycrafts yesterday and have been dying to use it. Isn't this little girl adorable. I coloured her in using my copic markers, which im getting extremely attached to!! Have another halloween stamp from Pollycraft that I want to play with next. Go look at the Pollycrafts download shop there are so many gorgeous images, and Paula's delivery is superfast. I ordered my stamps Monday and they arrived Tuesday!

Oh before I forget, what I did want to mention is I received my Mystery package from Crafty Krafts today and all I can say is wow, wow, wow! If anyone has ordered one and waiting for it to arrive, you wont be disappointed. The value for money was second to none, I couldn't recommend this site highly enough. Ordered on Tuesday it arrived this morning by courier, first class service and first class products. Thank you Donna.

Oh linda you have had a bad day, we have a bad bend by where we live and cars are always going off when it rains, it is usually if there is a little diesel on the road, so I would not worry that you did anything wrong at all, it certainly did not affect your card making, it is lovely :)

Oh Linda, I was distressed when I read the title of your post, but VERY glad to hear that you're okay and the car is okay, too! And I definitely agree with everyone else, roads are really slippery after it's rained. The roads in Seattle are the pits in the rain - all the build up of dust, fuel, etc and then the rain on top of it makes the roads very treacherous.

I love you card - the little girl is absolutely adorable!

Oh Linda, your poor thing, I'm so sorry to read about your accident hun. Thank goodness it's just your confidence that has taken a beating and not you!! I had two accidents in under 6 months after driving for 30 years with no accident or even a speeding ticket so know how you are feeling. It took me a while to get back behind the wheel so you just take things at your own pace sweetie.

Love your card, the image is just so cute and you've used such gorgeous papers.

Take care
